Try using "It Ain't Gonna Rain No More" as the title, as I think it's one of innumerable variant verses to that song--but maybe not, as I haven't had any luck finding a recording that includes the "having a game of ball" verse.

I did solve one problem, though. I always knew it as "how in heck can I wash my neck," but was puzzled by occasional appearances of "how in the world can the old folks tell." I found an old recording that makes it clear: it's "how in hell can the old folks tell that it ain't gonna rain more?"

I learned it as "I woke up one morning/I looked upon the wall/The cooties and the bedbugs/Were havin' a game of ball/The score was six to nothing/The cooties were ahead/I got so darn disgusted/I jumped right of a bed," transitioning to "It ain't gonna' rain no more no more/It ain't gonna rain no more/So how in heck can I wash my neck/If it ain't gonna rain no more?"

By the way, an odd transition has occurred. The modern generation thinks "cooties" means "germs." Of course it really means pubic lice.

My mom sung a similar one: "Looking through the knothole/In father's wooden leg/Who will wind the clocks when I am gone?/Quick, grab the axe, there's a fly on baby's nose/Why do they put the shores so near the ocean?"

Great comments. Yes, I think the resemblance is striking. ;-) Thanks for sharing this amazing image. When you look at the stars you can easily realize how insignificant we really are on a greater scale...

Oh, I envy your fall in MA. I visited there several years ago in late Sept and made the drive from Concord to Amherst. It was so beautiful. There are no "fiery leaves of fall" where I live...
